King of Wands
As I look at the card I notice the sun is shining and I feel it is being revealed from dark clouds of the past. The King of Wands sits in his red cloak on the throne, he seems regal and ready for action. I am drawn to the daisies at his feet, they seem to be a pathway for him. His feet walk on flowers, it is like his path is held up as honourable. There is a little wren at one side who talks to him and offers him advice. His staff has a symbol of the sun on as does his cape. I feel that its very much about the sun.

I walk into the card....
I look down at the daisies, “What are you about I ask them gently? ” “ We stand for beauty and simplicity, though we are trodden upon we grow more beautiful every moment. We are simple, yet in our numbers we make a huge difference to the beauty of the place. We are happy to be the carpet for the King of Wands – whose action can make a difference to the world.” “Thank you daisies” I say. “It is lovely to see you here.”
I get a feeling of clarity and of simplicity within the card. There is nothing hindering, there are no obstacles in the way of the journey forward. I approach the king “Your majesty, what do you represent? What advice to you have to those who see this card in a reading?”
“I am the king of action, I am clear and decisive, I know what needs to be done and I do it, nothing will stop me. I rarely sit down for a moment. I like to be on the go all the time. There is always another project on the horizon and the next thing to do. Life is exciting, I have learnt much from my youth, whereas I once jumped in impetuously, now I am still just as active and excited about my projects, but I know now how to plan my projects and make them work to come to fruition. I tend to finish more of my projects these days too.” He smiles at me. “In a reading I will come to represent somebody who is dynamic and has no fear, they are courageous , they will go forward and bring to the situation whatever it requires. They won't run away from obstacles – it is almost as if they don't see them as obstacles in their way, they are navigated before they even get to them. I stand up for my rights. I don't let people walk over me.”
As he says that I am drawn to the stonehenge in the background and see people standing up for their rights to have access to the stones. I feel this is the King of Wands – he would fight for anything he believed in deeply in his heart.
“I am also representative of a person who is like this.” he says “I can bring energy to people who are tired. I am creative. I can see innovative ways round things. The sun is my guide. The sun is the confidence, the self esteem, the joy and the aliveness that I feel in my life. And it is the suns energy that I am manifested. I am clear and surefooted and I believe in myself. I have no doubts about what I do or how I do it, I trust the deepest part of me to guide me forwards.”
“Do you have a message for me? ” I ask “This is you – I am you – I am your creative fire – You do have the maturity to trust it. Know that you can make your life as you would like, and your business too. Don't let obstacles stand in your way you notice today as you respond to various things that you have been able to just do it – there has been no need to hesitate, to withdraw and fear the response. Trust you have all the skills you need within you – believe in yourself, for you have had much experience – now it the time to go forth and share it with the world. – Call upon my energy to get things done, call upon my energy for you to make the most of your time. And call upon my energy whenever anything feels difficult. I will help you. I am within you. You have the courage to move forward. The fear that you have experienced is dropping away” “Thank you” I say and feel the truth of his words.
I look to the staff that he holds and ask of its methods and purpose in this card. “ I am the focusing of this fiery energy, unfocused it can be destructive, when it is focused and used with precision and care, destroying only that which needs to be destroyed, giving energy only in areas where it is useful for energy to be given. The king has the knowledge of how to use me – This card together is integrated use of fire and how to use it positively, to remove obstacles to get things done, make things happen and let nothing stand in our way.” “Thank you ” I say, then I turn to the sun.
“I am the sun, I just give and give, I am as I am, Many use my energy yet it does not deplete me, I am here to light the way. When you are focused on the sun and its energy the way indeed is lite before you and there is no running out of energy, there is no scarcity, you will always have the power and the fuel and the energy to do the tasks that are right for you.”“ Thank you sun you are very clear” I say
“So what of this card reversed? What do you say?” I ask the King and all the elements together.
“If this card shows reversed I am merely saying that this person is allowing their fear to block their true energy and their ability to get through anything. It is like their fear of their own fire holds them back. It is like they have traveled through there younger parts of fire already but they don't believe they have traversed the course and have learnt the things they need to learn they fear that they will make the mistakes of the page. Yet they are at kingship. To reverse this card embrace you power, embrace your energy, do not fear it, you are responsibly enough to embrace the power you have in this situation.” “Thank you, that makes a lot of sense to me”
I look around the card it is sunny and warm – everything feels very alive and vibrant I want to skip and dance but yet I know I have work to do – I feel there is a seriousness to this card a focus and a directedness of energy for more than pure enjoyment.
“Thank you , thank you all, I shall leave the card now with the wisdom you have shared with me” I turn and go, feel enriched empowered and excited about the life unfolding before me.

The readings I offer on the phone, internet, in person or by post are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or MP3 so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold.
Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or MP3 and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present. I offer readings Face to Face, On Skype video phone, and usual telephone, as well as distance readings without you needing to be present or available when I do the reading for your focus directly onto CD or MP3. I now offer ongoing development sessions where we use guided meditations, readings and counselling techniques of various kinds to help you develop yourself from both a spiritual and psychological point of view. This is not psychotherapy though - but a regular support with teaching of skills, to help you move through lifes challenges and develop spiritually and psychologically. Personal relationship awareness and self development
By request, I am currently developing a course focusing on psychological self development and awareness of relationship patterns of behaviour we get into time and time again, to be run later on in the year. It will be heavily based on the theories of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory that explores the games we play with each other and the internal sub-personalities of Parent, Adult and Child, with a view to becoming more authentic in our lives. The course will be held online via a forum as my other courses are. It is not connected with tarot reading specifically, however it will be useful in dealing with clients, whether tarot, healing or other supportive professional roles - particularly where you may find challenges of communication. We now offer a beginners module over 3 weeks to help complete beginners to the tarot understand the very basics – enough to be able to take the initial Thoth course, and learn to use your intuition with the tarot from the very start. Initial Thoth Course We are currently taking bookings for the Initial Thoth course starting on January 2012. It covers the psychological and intuitional approaches to reading with the Thoth. There is a good deal of personal work and students often feel they have transfermed personally a lot through the course's duration, in addition to feeling confident with the Thoth and their increasing intuitive skills.
