Queen of swords
I look at the card and see a beautiful woman in yellow holding up a sword – it is like she is connecting it with the heavens above. There is a bee in the top corners which I associate with fertility and organisation. The keyword for this card is imagination

I walk into the card....
I smell the most amazing smell of flowers – there are bluebells at my feet and primroses, and the sun is shining it is a lovely place here. I can hear the bees buzzing round the yellow broom overhead and the queen stands before me – I decide to talk to the flowers first.
“Oh bluebells with your sweet smell do you have a message for me?” – “Take time to smell the roses it is always worth this you know – our smell allows people to be reminded that there are realms beyond the physical – it is often that people forget the sense of smell in the same way they forget there are other ways of perceiving things other than the eye and other senses – we remind you of the beauty of the higher planes – allow us to do our job of lifting your vibration up and healing your connection with the higher realms through your throat chakra. “
“Thank you bluebells – this is great that you do this job for us.” “Oh primroses what do you have to say for me?” – we are little and delicate and also beautiful – we like you to see yourselves as beautiful as others pass you by – we ask for nothing just grow our delicate way and in any spot we can be nurtured – we say to you do the same allow yourself to grow where ever you find the food you need for your growth. Your presence as you grow will enliven those who have the eyes to look and your essence will uplift and enlighten without you needing to do anything. Allow yourself to be to be of greatest use!”
“That is lovely little primrose.”
I look to the bees – “What do you have to say to me?” I ask “We are reminding you that as you work together with others you can create the most amazing things – also that your communication is very important – as you pass on what you know you are able to help others in understanding what it is that they need to do next. You can listen to others giving messages for you too – this way you find the sweetness in life and you share network and link with others who have been there before you will know what to find and whether it is what you seek. Working together yet also as individuals each with their own role to play – we help more than just our own species as we help the plants and the animals also – just be being who we and and doing what is necessary.” “Thank you bee – I associate you with fertility does this element of you come in here?” – We here are talking of the outer world jobs of the bees – our inner world job is to fertilise and nurture the young – as we go out into the world we help others and being back what is needed for the inner hive – this mirrors what you have to do too – there are some who stay home and nurture, and others who go out and gather sweetness to bring back – your role is your choice, here we talk of the going out to find sweetness. ”
“Thank you bee, I understand.”
I see a hare stand by the queen and look up to the queen too – I wonder who to speak to first and she looks towards the hare.. she appears to be waiting for me to clear all distractions before I talk to her.
“Hello Hare” I say –“What do you represent here?” “I am the speed and agility that is in this card, I can run very fast – I also find it is easy to become complacent through gloating about my achievements, like the story, it is my down falling when I do this. – Allow your confidence to inspire you, not out yourself above others. However confidence does hold you with strength and self confidence and it is my role too to protect my queen by using agility of speech and speed to outwit my opponents and hers – this is one skill that she has at her side as she allows herself to travel the thought realms.”
“Hello Queen!” “Hello” she says –“ Yes thank you” I say – “I am feeling a little rushed, is this a part of the card?”–“Yes it can be.” she says “You need to slow down and smell the roses as the flowers are saying, as you slow down then things will be a lot easier as you are much more tuned into the higher realms and the external world and its images are less trapping – so I bring the qualities of patience and listening. I will listen to what the flowers and trees have to say, I will wait while the connection is brought to my consciousness through the sword. The sword can discern what is truth and what is fantasy – often a problem when you deal with the world of the imagination, though it is through the imagination that the greatest truths come, so all that is both story and fact hold the key to truth – don't decry the imaginative forces of the world but allow them to thrive, listen carefully to where it is directing you and you will find the answers you seek. All will be revealed. ”
“Thank you Queen. When you are reversed what you would mean then? – “I am saying you are using your logic against your inner self – thought is overruling your listening ability and this is causing imbalance. Allow your imagination a stronger place in your life for it is through this that you will be able to conceive of your dreams and them make them into reality. I am the person who refuses to see anything that is not proved – I am the skeptic and the academic, who rationalises emotions in all their forms without seeing their true message. As an upright card I am the counsellor who know the logical way of things as well as the feeling side and is able to stand outside both – listening for the truth within everything, the counsellor, though not emotionally involved actually is able to help others see themselves as if through a mirror. ”
“Thank you queen.” I look round this place and see the trees and feel that perhaps if I was to go deeper into the woods I would find the shaman working with his potions to travel into the higher worlds rather than understanding them from a distance as the Queen does here. The Queen then says “I use the sword to catch the light from the highest realms and make it available to the world below – I am discerning fact from fantasy with this sword of truth – ask me, should you need to decide something of importance, and I will help you make the decision you need to dispassionately and appropriately. ”
“Thank you” I say – “I was wondering about the sword – you heard my thoughts – she smiles knowingly and says yes it is time for you to leave now – that is fine – come back and see me another time for information for you. ”
“Thank you I will” I say.

The readings I offer on the phone, internet, in person or by post are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or MP3 so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold.
Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or MP3 and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present. I offer readings Face to Face, On Skype video phone, and usual telephone, as well as distance readings without you needing to be present or available when I do the reading for your focus directly onto CD or MP3. Spiritual Development Sessions
I now offer ongoing development sessions where we use guided meditations, readings and counselling techniques of various kinds to help you develop yourself from both a spiritual and psychological point of view. The sessions are very flexible and we can cover what you need in order to gain the most out of your life. Living your life closer and closer to your souls ideal. This is not psychotherapy though - but a regular support with teaching of skills, to help you move through lifes challenges and develop spiritually and psychologically. Personal relationship awareness and self development
By request, I am currently developing a course focusing on psychological self development and awareness of relationship patterns of behaviour we get into time and time again, to be run later on in the year. It will be heavily based on the theories of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory that explores the games we play with each other and the internal sub-personalities of Parent, Adult and Child, with a view to becoming more authentic in our lives. The course will be held online via a forum as my other courses are. It is not connected with tarot reading specifically, however it will be useful in dealing with clients, whether tarot, healing or other supportive professional roles - particularly where you may find challenges of communication. Initial Thoth Course We are currently taking bookings for the Initial Thoth course starting on January 2012. It covers the psychological and intuitional approaches to reading with the Thoth. There is a good deal of personal work and students often feel they have transfermed personally a lot through the course's duration, in addition to feeling confident with the Thoth and their increasing intuitive skills.
