6 Wands – Success
This month I am continuing journeying into the minor arcana cards of the Sacred Circle Deck (available from my book store ), this month it is the Six of Wands – and we start to look at the sixes. Sixes are about the perfecting of the energy of the suit. They are positive and successful and the peak experience of the suit, the journey isn't over though, but the first phases are complete so it is time to enjoy some of the success experienced so far.

I look at the card and see a feeling of the joy of early summer, there are swallows darting around in the sky and a group of 6 wands held together with ivy – it has a sense of everything coming together.
I walk into the card...
There is a breeze in the air and I see the meadow beneath my feet is full of wild flowers, pig nuts and small blue flowers that I can't quite see what they are. I am barefoot and am on a slope – it is like the hill by our house and I can look across the valley – everything is bright with the sunshine and warm despite the breeze. The swallows are swooping in the sky and seem to be free and playful.
I ask them what they symbolise.
“We are the sharing of joy and fun with others in a free way – nothing needs to be done we are just playing on the breeze and enjoying our talent for flying in the sunshine. We are connected together yet also completely free, There is a playfulness in our hearts. So we are the celebration that comes after the success of a long journey – a physical one, as it was for us, or we can indicate an emotional or inner journey too. The journey is over though and now is the time for play and celebration – a time for appreciation of how far you have come. Allow yourself to share joyfully with others. ”
“Thank you – yes I will take your advice here for me personally too. ” I reply
I look to the wands and see them suspended above the valley and ask them of their meaning.
“We are the spears that were once used in a fight, a spiritual struggle for the truth, now though we are balanced and harmonious in ourselves and with each other – we have found an equilibrium point – a place where we can share concepts and ideas. The place where we are all one – perhaps held together by an outside force as the ivy holds us. We are happy in our being bound together in this way, as it brings us balance and peace to be gathered like this. ”
“We talk of a time of things coming together for you – there is no need for struggle of fight at this time, only the peace of being at one with what you are doing and where you are. There is great strength in this too. ”
“Thank you – I do like seeing you so harmonious with each other, gleaming in the sunlight. ” I say.
“Yes we are each able to reflect our own glory in the sunlight – we are your self confidence – each person in a situation coming together at an agreement point – yet being separate to and appreciating their own unique perspective, as you all join then you all also shine the joy and confidence of the sun. ”
“What a lovely message – thank you.” I say.
I look down at my feet and ask the flowers and the grass for their comments, I feel they are important as I see them in this journey but not on the card itself.
“What do you mean for me?”
The pig nuts say –
“We are gentle beauty – nourishment too. Though we are small we offer nourishment and sustenance when you need it. Dig beneath the surface and you will find you have your own stores of self nourishing energy which you can call on when you need it. The beauty that shines on the surface shows you where to look. Notice what you like to do – what gives you pleased and then dig beneath the surface of that skill into yourself and you will find a source of confidence and security you may not have been aware that you have. It is understanding that to feel secure is not about having money but knowing you have all the resources within you to create your abundance and prosperity, whatever external circumstances befall you. You always have this inner well of resources that you can use to keep you secure. Trust in this. This card is very much about knowing you are a successful person in your self and that it is not just the external traditional ways of seeing success that actually define the security that comes from success. ”
“Thank you – this is an important message. ” I say.
I look to the blue flowers and they seem to dance in the sun and say –
“You need to communicate your hearts knowing to allow your inner wealth to be externally manifested. We are the gentle and joyful way you and any who receive this card can express yourself – you need not shout from the tree tops, just a daily gentle expression of your love and joy within yourself to those around you – those you come into contact with – will move the energy of success to you. ”
“Thank you – I will remember this ” I reply.
I realise there is a huge oak tree before me too which somehow I hadn't noticed before.
“Hello” I say, “I am sorry I didn't notice you before. Do you have a message?”
“Yes I am your strength and your knowledge built up over a long period of time – you have been growing for a long time, though slowly, so you are not always aware of just how much strength you have gained. How much solidness and security you have built around you. In the same way as you didn't notice me at first. I am here to tell people of their strength and their ability to be flexible in the wind, the determination that is present within each of you. This determination makes your projects successful, slowly moving towards your goals with the focus to over come setbacks placed in your way – you are bound to succeed. I remind you that you have already succeeded many times over and can continue to do so as the future unfolds. I came from a small acorn – that acorn had the potential for me here as this big tree. In the same way you are seeing the fruits of the seeds you planted many years ago and it is time to understand you are fully grown, and also to know that from this place more growth will continue for many years to come – as my life is really only just beginning, so too from your success comes more opportunity for growth even yet. Continue and appreciate what you haye already gained – allow it to give you the confidence for your future. ”
“Thank you I appreciate your message here.” I say “In fact all of you have had very pertinent messages for me here, thank you all. What would you be saying if you were reversed I ask the elements of this card as a whole? I then ask.
”We are the hidden success in someone's life, things are actually going well but the person is not able to see the success they have achieved for looking so hard at the togetherness of everything, they feel trapped and do not see the freedom in it and the choices that are present. Also they may have a tendency not to realise their inner worth and see that the good things that are happening are because of their efforts – not in spite of their efforts. The way to right the card is to take some time to see the situation they are in in a new light and understand the coming together of all the elements they have wanted in their life. To become aware of just how much success is in the situation and recognise the challenge is just to take them on to the next level ahead, not to knock them back to previous situations. “

I find myself liking this card a lot more from this journey as I often do – it felt a little too surface like when I first looked at it as an image and yet I am finding it has a depth and an energy I very much like, with some messages that are very relevant to me currently.

The readings I offer on the phone, internet, in person or by post are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or MP3 so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold.
Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or MP3 and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present. I offer readings Face to Face, On Skype video phone, and usual telephone, as well as distance readings without you needing to be present or available when I do the reading for your focus directly onto CD or MP3. Spiritual Development Sessions
I now offer ongoing development sessions where we use guided meditations, readings and counselling techniques of various kinds to help you develop yourself from both a spiritual and psychological point of view. The sessions are very flexible and we can cover what you need in order to gain the most out of your life. Living your life closer and closer to your souls ideal. This is not psychotherapy though - but a regular support with teaching of skills, to help you move through lifes challenges and develop spiritually and psychologically. Personal relationship awareness and self development
By request, I am currently developing a course focusing on psychological self development and awareness of relationship patterns of behaviour we get into time and time again, to be run later on in the year. It will be heavily based on the theories of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory that explores the games we play with each other and the internal sub-personalities of Parent, Adult and Child, with a view to becoming more authentic in our lives. The course will be held online via a forum as my other courses are. It is not connected with tarot reading specifically, however it will be useful in dealing with clients, whether tarot, healing or other supportive professional roles - particularly where you may find challenges of communication. Thoth Tarot Deck training

We now offer a beginners module over 3 weeks to help complete beginners to the tarot understand the very basics – enough to be able to take the initial Thoth course, and learn to use your intuition with the tarot from the very start. Initial Thoth Course We are currently taking bookings for the Initial Thoth course starting on January 2012. It covers the psychological and intuitional approaches to reading with the Thoth. There is a good deal of personal work and students often feel they have transfermed personally a lot through the course's duration, in addition to feeling confident with the Thoth and their increasing intuitive skills.
